Many people when they see a paper airplane will probably just pass it by but to me, they have a story.
Paper airplanes have been seen as symbols for youth, creativity, travel, and so much more.
But I have a special connection to the paper airplane. When I see a paper airplane I see it as a symbol of long distance friendships/relationships.
You see, you can use a paper airplane to send messages since they’re made out of paper of course, but there is more to it.
A paper airplane to me, represents a connection to someone in another country, state, whatever. Every paper airplane is unique in some way just like relationships. No matter how many you make, they are all different in some way.
Recently, I gave my best friend a paper airplane necklace as a reminder of our friendship and the connection we have despite being 1000 miles away and only ever seeing each other and being in the same time zone once a year.
